The Parliament (People's House build 1984 - 1989)
The 2nd largest building in the world after Pentagon in the U.S. The Palace was build by Nicolae Ceausescu, who ruined whole parts of the old city to get space for it and the surrounding ministries placed along the boulevard beneath.

The 330.000 m2 and 84 m high palace has cost a fortune. Nicolae Ceausescu and his wife Elena ruled Romania as their own back yard during the 1980's. The palace was almost finished, when the revolution in December 1989 ended the Ceausescu period. No one made something like this since the Zar's in Russia. Both were executed when they were captured. Just like the Zar in Russia.
